Abstract

Problem. Reduction of hours of classroom work requires blended learning, helps to bring part of the learning process into the online environment. The advantages of distance learning and blended learning allow you to access educational content and interact with the teacher at any time and in any place, choose your own pace of learning and its trajectory.It has been proven that a fullscale reform of Ukrainian higher education is needed on the basis of blended learning: the integration of mass online courses of the best teachers into the traditional offline educational process.
The purpose of the article is to highlight the theoretical foundations of blended learning in domestic institutions of higher education.
The article analyzes the theoretical foundations of blended learning in domestic institutions of higher education. Important aspects of the problem of the effectiveness of the use of pedagogical technologies of mixed learning in the educational process are substantiated. It was established that blended learning is a purposeful process of acquiring knowledge, skills and abilities, which is carried out by institutions of higher education within the framework of formal education.
Conclusions. 1. In blended education, the use of information and communication technologies in the educational process of higher education institutions causes a change in its organization and implementation. «Blended learning» is defined as a combination of online and offline learning within the study of the relevant educational component. 2. Blending of learning is a purposeful process of acquiring knowledge, skills and abilities, which is carried out by institutions of higher education within the framework of formal education. 3. Blended learning personalizes the educational process. 4. The difference between blended learning and classroom learning with the support of web technologies is that web 2.0 technologies and specialized software are used for educational interaction between students of higher education and teachers, as well as audiences
among themselves. 5. The implementation of blended learning in the activities of higher education institutions gives them a significant advantage: reduction of hours of «auditory work».
