SPECIFICITY OF BLENDED LEARNING IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS OF UKRAINE

Abstract

The article considers various aspects of the use of blended learning in higher education institutions of Ukraine. It is characterized that the term «blended learning» was introduced in the 20th century. It was found that blended learning should be understood as a type of hybrid methodology, when there is a combination of traditional (offline learning, in classrooms, faceto-face), online and independent learning. Blended learning has been proven to be more effective than online learning. The specificity of the use of blended learning in higher education institutions of Ukraine proves the existence of its various aspects. The organization of mixed learning based on an informational educational environment with the use of electronic complexes of educational components, the use of modern information technologies of interactive learning allows to qualitatively assess the work of students of higher education and their level of competence.

The purpose of the article is to analyze the specifics of blended learning in higher education institutions of Ukraine.

The methodology is based on the general principles of philosophy, sociology, basic modern provisions of pedagogical science, psychology, and reflects the relationship of methodological approaches to the study of the concept of «blended learning» in the educational process of higher education institutions of Ukraine.

Scientific novelty. The specifics of blended learning and distance learning in institutions of higher education are revealed. The term «blended learning» is characterized. The article supplemented the methodology and tools of further empirical studies of some aspects of the specifics of the use of blended learning in higher education.
Conclusions. 1. Blended learning is used in the process of professional training of future specialists of various specialties. 2. Over the past 5 years, domestic scientists have covered the experience of blended learning in training specialists of various specialties. 3. It is necessary to plan the educational process of institutions of higher education in the conditions of the
application of blended learning based on modern pedagogical methods and information and communication technologies, which makes it possible to be a participant in the educational process at any time.
