MONITORING OF THE EDUCATIONAL ACHIEVEMENTS OF STUDENTS IN THE PROCESS OF PROFESSIONAL TRAINING OF FUTURE TEACHERS OF THE UKRAINIAN LANGUAGE AND LITERATURE IN THE MASTER'S DEGREE

Abstract

In the article, an attempt is made to characterize the control measures and features of the assessment of higher education applicants in the process of professional training of future teachers of Ukrainian language and literature in the master’s degree (using the example T.Н. Shevchenko National University «Chernihiv Colehium»). In order to realize the stated goal, the author of the article analyzes the scientific works from the stated study and notes the insufficient research of this issue, the lack of modern studies. The requirements of the university regulations regulating various aspects of the organization of educational activities for the professional training of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature at the second level of higher education were analyzed.

In the research process, it is substantiated that control is one of the aspects of diagnosing the educational achievements of higher education seekers, a means of analyzing the qualitative and quantitative parameters of the educational process in an educational institution. It was found that within the professional training of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the master’s degree, various types of control of educational achievements are implemented – preliminary, current, final. In addition, the peculiarities of the implementation of the specified provisions in practice in the process of taking tests, exams, defending coursework and pedagogical practice, as well as final certification are taken into account. The structure and content of work training programs in individual disciplines of professional training cycles are characterized; the criteria and forms of assessment of educational achievements of higher education students are emphasized. It is substantiated that the procedures for organizing and conducting control measures are directly related to the observance of the principles of academic integrity by teachers and students of higher education. Emphasis is placed on measures organized by the university to counteract manifestations of academic dishonesty during the assessment of the level of educational achievements in the process of professional training of future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in a higher education institution.
