STRUCTURE OF PROFESSIONAL SUCCESS OF TEACHERS IN HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article describes the structure of professional success of teachers of higher education institutions. The skills on which the professional success of teachers depends are singled out: strategic and self-organization. It has been proven that the professional success of a teacher at a higher education institution depends on a professional humanistic direction (valuable attitude towards the profession and subjects of study, respect for colleagues, the desire to increase knowledge, the need for creative activity). The need for the formation of professionally important qualities of teachers is substantiated: pedagogical abilities, high level of selfdiscipline, organization, responsibility.

The purpose of the article is to highlight the structure of professional success of teachers of domestic institutions of higher education.

Conclusions. The structure of the professional success of a teacher at a higher education institution consists of: socio-pedagogical orientation of the individual (humanistic orientation, deontological competence, achievement motivation (motives of self-determination), persistent interest in pedagogical teaching activity); pedagogical competence (subject, psychologicalpedagogical, methodical); professionally important qualities of a teacher (love for students, humanity, purposefulness, tolerance, demandingness, democracy); professionally significant psycho-physiological properties of the teacher (pedagogical abilities, emotional intelligence, work capacity); the most significant soft skills (social intelligence of a university teacher) for teaching (the ability to resolve conflicts, work in a team, manage one's time, understanding the importance of deadlines). The domestic educational community emphasizes the orientation of higher professional education regarding the formation of «soft skills» and «hard skills» in their unity.

The professional success of a teacher at a higher education institution depends on the professional and humanistic orientation (valuable attitude to the profession and subjects of study, respect for colleagues, the desire to increase knowledge, the need for creative activity), the formation of professionally important qualities (pedagogical abilities, a high level of selfdiscipline, organization , responsibility) and professional effectiveness of activities, which require a high ability to self-organize professional teaching activities.
