Abstract

In this article the peculiarities of the formation of the idea of burlesque among future teachers of the Ukrainian language and literature in the process of mastering the educational discipline «History of Ukrainian literature of the XVI-XVIII centuries» are defined. It was established that for students to effectively master the studied concept, it is necessary to rely on
the knowledge they have acquired within the school course of Ukrainian literature. For this purpose, the article analyzes the content and methodological apparatus of school textbooks on Ukrainian literature for the 9th grade. This gave the author reason to formulate the conclusion that graduates of general secondary education institutions should have a fairly clear idea of burlesque, which can become the basis for further education, as well as deepening knowledge, bringing it to a qualitatively new level, as well as expanding ideas about the burlesque tradition in Ukrainian literature.

In the process of scientific research, the author relies on the idea of continuity of the Ukrainian burlesque tradition from the Baroque era through the art work of Ivan Kotliarevskii to futurism and modern Ukrainian literature.

Accordingly, the author recommends that theoretical and literary concepts in general and the term «burlesque» in particular be considered comprehensively, in the context of various literary academic disciplines. In the process of selecting educational material and methodological tools for lectures and practical classes in the discipline «History of Ukrainian Literature of the 16th-18th centuries», the author of the article recommends considering topics related to low-level baroque, in particular, the works of itinerant cantors and school drama. The author of the article recommends turning to modern literary works, popular scientific literature, which describes the peculiarities of the life and activities of itinerant cantors, as well as applying problems and research tasks, using interactive and information and communication technologies, online applications.
