PREPARATION OF FUTURE TEACHERS TO WORK WITH PARENTS IN THE SYSTEM OF METHODOLOGICAL WORK OF SECONDARY EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS: PRACTICAL ASPECTS

Abstract

The author of this article describes the practical aspects of professional training of future teachers to work with parents in the system of methodological work of secondary education institutions. To solve the problem of establishing cooperation between teachers of secondary education institutions and parents, it is proposed to develop and introduce into the educational process of higher education institutions an elective educational component «Psychological and pedagogical principles of interaction with parents in the system of methodological work of secondary education institutions», which includes problem lectures, lecture-consultations, binary lectures, lecture-conferences, etc., as well as practical classes, implemen­tation of individual educational and research projects and independent work by higher education applicants.

It is substantiated that this elective educational component should be an organic continuation of teaching psychological and pedagogical disciplines. In the process of its teaching, a number of tasks are envisaged, in particular: familiarizing teachers with the conceptual principles of working with parents; formation of their orientation towards working with families and helping parents in raising children; expansion of knowledge about the family, the specifics of family education, the features of education in families of various types; training in organizing diagnostic work on studying the family; formation of skills in organizing and conducting mass events with parents; familiarization of teachers with the positive experience of family education in order to identify and use it in practical activities; disclosure of the content and meaning of the main legal documents on family education. In addition, it is planned to conduct trainings, the purpose of which will be to increase the motivation of teachers to establish work with parents, to form in them the ability to reflect, the desire for personal and professional development, as well as to reveal their own creative potential. And in order to deepen knowledge about the features of establishing and maintaining interaction with parents in the system of methodological work of secondary education institutions, it is proposed to create a page (group) on a social network and fill it with appropriate content.
