Abstract

Psychological conditions of professional development of young employees of the National Police are an important aspect of the effectiveness of the work of law enforcement agencies and ensuring their ability to respond to modern challenges. In the process of adaptation to professional activity, young police officers face various psychological problems and stressful situations that can affect their emotional state, motivation and professional qualities. Psychological preparation, support and orientation to creating a favorable psychological climate are key factors in the successful professional development of police officers. Professional development includes two key aspects: on the one hand, it is the accumulation, enrichment and development of professional knowledge and skills, as well as the acquisition of experience in law enforcement activities; on the other hand, it is the socialization of the employee's personality in the professional environment. In this context, socialization means the process of integrating the individual into the professional sphere, his identification with it, as well as the inclusion of professional values in the employee's inner world. In other words, it is about the socio-professional formation of the personality of a law enforcement officer.

Increasing the level of training of employees of the National Police of Ukraine is becoming especially important in the context of Ukraine's integration into the European space. In this regard, the reform of the departmental education system is focused on strengthening the practical component of professional training of law enforcement officers, providing them with solid theoretical knowledge and practical skills necessary for effective social interaction in the process of performing official tasks. An important aspect is also the assimilation by law enforcement officers of the values of a democratic society and their readiness to defend these values.
