DIGITALIZATION OF THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS OF HIGHER EDUCATION INSTITUTIONS

Abstract

The article describes the definition of «digitization» as a digital method of communication, recording, data transmission using digital devices. It has been proven that the introduction of digital technologies and blended learning into the educational process of domestic institutions of higher education is a priority form of obtaining higher education. It was established that the use of digital technologies and blended learning in institutions of higher education helps students of higher education to be active participants in the educational process, capable of building an individual educational trajectory. It is substantiated that digitalization of higher education is the introduction of modern information and communication technologies into the educational process of higher education institutions at all levels. It is highlighted that the digitalization of higher education depends on the level of digital literacy and the degree of mastery of digital technologies of teachers and students of higher education.

The purpose of the article is to characterize the essence of digitalization of the educational process of higher education institutions.

Conclusions. 1. The introduction of modern digital technologies and blended learning into the educational process of domestic institutions of higher education is a priority form of obtaining higher education in modern conditions. 2. Digitization of the educational process of higher education institutions has advantages and disadvantages both for teachers and for students of higher education in various specialties. 3. Digitization of the educational process makes it possible to increase its effectiveness. 4. The use of digital technologies and blended learning in institutions of higher education helps students of higher education to be active participants in the educational process, capable of building an individual educational trajectory. 5. Digitization of higher education depends on the level of digital literacy and the degree of mastery of digital technologies of teachers and students of higher education. 6.
